Feb 27, 2018 Before now, if you fancied playing console games on your Mac, you'd need to use PlayStation 4's Remote Play to do so. Windows 10 users have been able to stream Xbox One titles to their PCs since. A new Xbox app will arrive in the App Store soon that includes a remote play feature, which lets Xbox One console owners stream their games to an iPhone. The report notes that this new app and its remote play capability is different than Microsoft's xCloud service. Whereas xCloud allows players to stream Xbox games directly from Microsoft's.

Android smartphones and tablets

Any Android device running Android 7 or later can play PS Remote Play games using on-screen controls. Devices running Android 10 or higher can connect to a DUALSHOCK 4 wireless controller via Bluetooth4.

The DualSense controller is currently not supported on Android devices.

iPhone and iPad

Any Apple device running iOS 12.1 or higher can play PS Remote Play games using on-screen controls. Devices running iOS 13 or higher have DUALSHOCK 4 wireless controller support via Bluetooth, and devices running iOS 14.5 or higher will be able to use a DualSense wireless controller support via Bluetooth5.

Desktop or laptop computers with the PS Remote Play app installed.

Windows PC devices running Windows 10 or higher will be able to use a DUALSHOCK 4 or DualSense wireless controller via wired connection.

Mac devices running macOS Catalina or later will be able to use a DUALSHOCK 4 via wired or wireless connection via Bluetooth support. Mac devices running macOS 11.3 or higher can use a DualSense wireless controller via wired or wireless connection.

Using the PS Remote Play app, you can control your PlayStation®5 console or PlayStation®4 console from a PC or Mac connected to a high-speed network. Check your PC or Mac meets the requirements and then follow the steps below to set up Remote Play.
